Steigauf elected to lead School Board; Dymoke is vice chair

Dawn Steigauf was elected to chair the Bloomington School Board for the 2024 term during the board’s annual organizational meeting this week. Steigauf, who served as chair in 2018, is in her 11th year on the school board. Other officers elected by their peers are Matt Dymoke, vice chair; Beth Beebe, clerk; and Tom Bennett, treasurer.

 School board members also confirmed appointments to a number of state and regional committees: 

  • Beth Beebe, Nelly Korman and Mia Olson to the Minnesota School Boards Association’s (MSBA) delegate assembly.
  • Olson and Beebe (alternate) to the Association of Metropolitan School Districts (AMSD)
  • Tom Bennett to the Intermediate District 917 Board
  • Dymoke to the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) 

The Bloomington School Board hosts listening sessions for public comment at 6 p.m. and study sessions at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. The regular business meeting is 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month. The third Monday of the month is reserved for a study session, regular meeting, professional development or a combination if needed.

The next School Board business meeting is 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22.
