Jefferson band program presents ‘Journey Through Space’

Jefferson High School’s band program will present its annual Pops Concert, “Journey Through Space,” on Thursday, Feb. 22 in the school’s auditorium, 4001 W. 102nd St.

The concert features approximately 160 musicians, including all four curricular concert bands, both jazz ensembles and small student ensembles. This year’s music is centered around the theme of space.

The concert will consist of two parts, with Part 1 at 6:30 p.m. featuring performances from the symphonic, concert and jazz collective bands. Part 2 begins at 8 p.m. and features the varsity band, wind ensemble and jazz big band.
