Bloomington Nordic skier places 4th at state

Jefferson junior Anders Westanmo placed fourth at the state Nordic ski meet held Feb. 14 at Giant’s Ridge Golf and Ski Resort in Biwabik. Westanmo finished the boys pursuit race with a time of 24:15.5.

Jefferson sophomore Conor Sweeney and senior Ethan Ishaug placed fifth in the boys team sprint with a time of 12:23.55. The boys team placed seventh overall at the state meet. 

Jefferson’s Ian Klein, Logan Young, Zach Tapajna, Patrick Altstatt and Kennedy’s Maddie Gray also competed in the state meet. Gray earned All-State honors.

Bloomington Nordic is a co-op team with skiers from both Jefferson and Kennedy High Schools.
