Bloomington Career and College Academy (BCCA) spotlights one student each trimester, highlighting their BCCA experience and pathway choice. This trimester’s spotlight is on Kennedy High School senior Sullivan Krouth-Chelmo, who has taken classes in two BCCA pathways: Motion Control Technology and Automotive Technician.

“Taking classes in the two pathways has benefitted me because I got to see what I like and what I want to do after high school,” said Krouth-Chelmo.

BCCA offers students the opportunity to explore or begin a career path while in high school. Students can choose from eight pathways where they learn from college instructors and earn college and high school credit, free of charge.

“What motivated me to sign up for BCCA classes was that I wanted to see what trade school was like and if I should consider that pathway after high school,” Krouth-Chelmo said.

Krouth-Chelmo plans to continue Fluid Power/Motion Control through T2C (Transition to College) at Hennepin Technical College. He has an internship in that career field at Force America this summer.
